Specially branded ‘Loading Bay’ bus reveals what’s on as weekend travel offer announced
- Branded bus promotes programme of events at Loading Bay
- Bradford Weekender ticket gives unlimited travel for group of 5
- Tickets on sale from Friday 23 May
Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture’s newest pop-up entertainment venue now has its own bus travelling around the city to help everyone know what’s on.
The Loading Bay bus was unveiled this week by Bradford 2025 Official Travel Partner, First Bus and the team from Bradford 2025 outside the venue on Duke Street.
The bus is fully wrapped in a design based around the distinctive ‘B’ symbol and features dedicated advertising space on both sides, which will be used to promote upcoming events at Loading Bay. This new temporary culture hub, created as part of Bradford’s UK City of Culture year, hosts everything from gigs and comedy nights to exhibitions, immersive theatre shows and more across two performance spaces and a gallery.
Matthew Dakin, Head of Sponsorship at Bradford 2025, said: “This fantastic, branded bus will not only bring people into the city centre who can head to Loading Bay to experience the amazing line up of events we have taking place over the coming months, it will also help us promote the action-packed programme ‘on the road’ and across the district.”
First Bus also launched a new ticket to help families and friends travel for less to see the amazing programme of Bradford 2025 events across the district.
The Bradford Weekender goes on sale this Friday 23 May and includes a special discount giving a group of 5 people unlimited travel for £10. It is valid from 5pm on a Friday night and all day Saturday or Sunday. The ticket can be purchased on the bus or the First Bus app.
Lucy Mottram, Marketing Manager for First Bus in West Yorkshire, said: “With this latest addition to our Bradford fleet highlighting more great entertainment, it was the ideal time to announce our new ticket focused on shared travel and experiences.
“We hope the Bradford Weekender will be a hit with customers and the Bank Holiday is the perfect time for people to give the bus a go and see where it takes them.”
