First Bus introduces improvements for 6 million Bradford customers
- New 642 service to Fagley
- Focus on punctuality for 16 services
First Bus is introducing changes to selected Bradford services from Sunday 18 May.
These are focused on improvements to punctuality for more than six million customers a year, to deliver a better journey experience and help attract more passengers.
Here are details of the key elements:
612 – frequency will be increased with services to Shipley only to replace journeys currently operated on the 613/614 services.
613/14 – this will operate between Bradford and Buttershaw only.
642 – a new service to Fagley operating every 20 minutes, replacing the existing 686/687 journeys.
686-688 – these will operate between Bradford and Brighouse only.
Michael Moore, Head of Network for First Bus in West Yorkshire, said: “This combination of changes will remove cross-city journeys to help avoid delays as a result of traffic conditions at either end of a long route.”
Other services with timetable changes for better punctuality and some including adjustments to frequency are: 608, 617, 618, 620, 621, 640, 641, 645 and 680.
