First Bus and Combined Authority shuttle showcases sustainable travel at UKREiiF 2026

First Bus is partnering with West Yorkshire Combined Authority to support the sustainability goals of UKREiiF 2026, the leading UK regeneration and infrastructure conference taking place in Leeds from 19-21 May.

First Bus will be operating a zero-emission shuttle bus service jointly funded with the Combined Authority which provides connections for delegates arriving at Leeds train station to travel to the event venue at Leeds Dock.

UKREiiF is expected to attract more than 16,000 visitors over the three days.

Kayleigh Ingham, Director of Commercial Delivery at First Bus, said: “We’re pleased to be working with the Combined Authority to actively demonstrate the carbon-saving message of this huge conference.

“Sustainable travel is a vital element in developing the built environment of towns and cities. This shuttle service is the ideal way to reach UKREiiF and shows how integrated transport works to get people to where they need to be and reduce congestion.”

First Bus’s ‘Sustainable Shuttle Bus’ will run every 15 minutes from Neville Street towards Leeds Dock. This will feature buses from the operator’s electric fleet, the largest in West Yorkshire, at its Bramley depot near the city.

The shuttle will operate from 7:30am-10:30am and 3:45pm-5:15pm on each day. Further details can be found on the travel pages of the event website https://2026.ukreiif.com/visit-planner#tab2

“This ensures a coordinated travel option for delegates, meaning that they can leave the car at home and enter the city through Leeds train station for a stress-free, low carbon journey,” added Kayleigh Ingham.
